Finally made the switch from the traditional straight skis to the new shape skis. These things are amazing and they rip. Unfortunately someone else thought they were great and stole them during lunch from the top of the mountain. They actually left me their last years model of the same ski, however way too long. A typical problem when old straight ski skiers trasition to shape as they have a hard time conceptually going from 200cm to 180cm. This guy figured it out the hard way and left me his 187's for my 179's. Huge bummer as I only had the skis for two weeks. I had friends visiting and it was a beautiful day. So I reported the theft, adjusted the bindings, and continued skiing for the rest of the day.

Matt and I have been friends since 2nd grade. He and his girlfriend came out to visit for a long weekend. As usual it was great to see them.

Our college friends Dave and Keith (Scott's brother) returning from the hot tub.

A small gathering for dinner. Dave and his girlfriend Leslie along with Keith and his wife Laura join some of our new local friends for a night out on the town.

Keith, Laura, and I took an off road jeep trip to admire some views and some $9mm homes on Red Mountain. Laura (and everyone else for that matter) needed some assistance getting into the Jeep.

The guys at AVSC called me up and asked if I'd work the Jeep King of the Mountain race. Jeep invites famous racers from all over the world. They set up a GS course that leads into two 25ft rollers and then a 50ft kicker. It was an amazing 3 day race and the finals were held at night under lights with a firework finish.

The women announcer on the left is actually Peekaboo.

Ok, well Scott didn't have the season he was expecting. About six weeks in he broke his shoulder snowboarding. Huge bummer because he didn't get to do much free skiing and he's missed all the powder days. After a couple of weeks he worked the kids ski school with one arm. A couple of weeks ago he had an operation here in Aspen and has been recovering since. The operation went well and he should be fine in a couple of months. Scott's Mom and Sister came out for the surgery and some skiing and it's always nice to see them.

As promised a manfur! Saw this guy coming and had Matt pose as if I were taking a picture of him.
