Welcome to South Dakota! Wide open roads are not helping me stick to the speed limit. It would be a miracle if I make it through SD without a speeding ticket. The Sioux Falls. Interesting but not spectacular. The town actually puts on a nightly laser light show and history of the falls. I've got to say it was excellent. They projected images with lasers onto buildings and the falls while and there were pre-recorded sound effects and narrations of how the falls were discovered and the town developed. A 45 minute show that was very interesting. Once again a little more room than I needed. However, it was within walking distance to the falls and downtown. Zero going on regarding night life.
Then next morning I got an oil change for the vette and a wheel balancing since I was picking up a little bit of a shake at 90 or so.
I was able to rollerblade along a bike path that ran along the Big Sioux River early afternoon and then I packed up the vette and started for the Badlands. |
