Ok, this is one of the best stories so far. Last week Rich and I met two awesome people out on the town, Heather and Rebecca. They both work full time on a private 108ft sail boat currently docked in Santa Barbara Harbor. The owner is a record producer who also owns a $50mm estate in Monticeto (more than what oprah paid for her place). We invited them along with several friends to a bbq at our place. They then invited us for appetizers and a sunset from the boat. The boat is home to five full time crew and can accomodate 6 guests. They guys hanging out on the boat. Is this an amazing boat or what? This is really cool. Every Wednesday there is a regatta that goes right past the house. Rich down the private beach. One day we all rented sea kayaks and made our way all the way to our house. Here is Rich riding some waves while the rest of us were getting water and snacks. A couple of the guys went out for the day to do some shopping. They come back having purchased 70's shirts for everyone in the group. We all agreed to wear them out for the John Mayer concert that night at the Santa Barbara Bowl.
Obviously if I'm going to do it I'm going to do it all the way. So I convinced John to go back out with me and get pants. John even got a hat. Needless to say we were a big hit at the concert and out later that night.
The Santa Barbara Bowl was the most amazing outdoor concert venue I've ever seen. Cut right into the foothills it was not only beautiful but also had amazing sounds. John Mayer was awesome!
We are going to the Chirs Isaak concert this Saturday night which should be equally amazing. What to wear...... |
