My last night in SF with Jeff. We went out to dinner at a place called Tango. Amazing jungle theme. You actually hear thunder then it starts to pour rain. We ordered some drinks...neat!...with some ice...and a wedge of fruit...and an umbrella... On my way down the coast I stopped at my friend from college Evan's place. Two years ago while driving down the coast I stopped at Evan's and I lost to him in tennis. He hasn't played since so I forced him out to play even though his wife as going to have a baby any minute. Here he is on the phone with her after the match just to check in. Happy to say he got an old fashion whoop'n. 6-1, 6-2, 6-3. Evan, Marni, and the soon to arrive baby! Congratulations guys!!! Finally Santa Barbara!!! Walking in the front door. The main living room has two living room sets. One centered around the fire place. The other are big hug napping sofa's in front of the picture windows. The second living room or play room. Dining room. Kitchen. The bedroom wing. This section is separated from the main house. So people can be up and about while not disturbing anyone sleeping. The first guest room has two single beds and an ocean view. Guest bathroom. The second guest bedroom has a pullout couch and it's own full bath. In yet another section of the house after pushing through double doors you enter the master bedroom suite. And yes this is where I'm staying! Ocean view from bed and double doors out onto one of the patios. Leave the bedroom area and enter another section of the suite where the sinks, shower, and toliet are. Also another exit point to the 6 person hot tub outside. You stil have ocean views from the sink room. The shower is literally a room you step into. No curtain or glass door. What can I say? The backyard of the house looks like it's out of Home and Garden Magazine. Amazing views and a great place to have breakfast. On Tuesdays the gardners come and clean the place up. My buddy Rich from college and I for our first lunch out on the town. We didn't waste any time taking care of some business. We rented mountain bikes for the month (i rented a full suspension bike which is amazing) and we joined the local Gold's Gym. Rich and I spent the day on the bikes, hit the beach, hit the gym and on our way biking home decided to stop for a quick beer on the water. I mean a quick few beers. Chill and nap time. These sofas literally grab your leg when you walk past forcing you to lay down and relax. On the advice of some of our neighbors we hit a local grocery store to stock up. Note: Don't ask millionaires for advice on where to go grocery shopping. We ended up at a high end store and everything was organic from the milk to the eggs. It was the type of place you go to get a few things. $340 later we realized our mistake. Saying that we decided to have a surf and turf dinner off the grill. Amazing salmon, and steak, with grilled veggies and a local wine, all with an ocean view. How much would you pay for that every night? I'm in bed. The sound of the waves hitting the beach was my alarm clock. Another beautiful day in Santa Barbara! My new home office. I'm sitting outside, dialed into the web, and looking at the ocean while I pay bills, check email, and update the site. Life is good!!!!! Enter content here |
